1. Te tiedättekin jo, että rakastan linnoja ja niitä täällä Ranskassa riittää. Suosikkini on kuvankaunis Chambord, joka on oikeasti henkeäsalpaavan upea.
2. Juustot. Se yksinään on jo tarpeeksi hyvä syy muuttaa Ranskaan. Juustojen luvatttuun maahan. Vaikka rakastankin erilaisia juustoja, niin sinihomejuusto ja vuohenjuusto eivät kuulu suosikkeihini.
3. Olen nyt ranskalaisten kanssa samassa ruokailurytmissä, eli päivääni kuuluu vain kolme ateriaa; aamupala, lounas ja illallinen.
4. Olen välillä erittäin kärsimätön ja ranskalaiset taas tykkäävät hieman hitaammasta tahdista. Välillä hyöry nousee päästäni, mutta maassa maan tavalla, eikö niin?
5. Rosé (Minuty) tai lasillinen valkkaria (Chablis) on lempijuomani veden lisäksi. Rakastan paikallista alkoholikulttuuria, koska täällä esimerkiksi viini on tärkeä osa ateriaa. Juominen ei ole muutenkaan humalahakuista.
6. Picard on ranskalainen pakasteruokaketju ja rakastan tätä ruokakauppaa. Sieltä löytyy oikeasti erittäin hyviä ja maukkaita valmisruokia. Suosikkini on “Swedish meatballs”, heh.

1. I love the castles in France. Call me crazy, but I could just travel from one castle to another and never get bored. My favorite castle close to Orléans is Chambord. It’s definitely worth seeing!
2. Cheese. That’s a good enough reason alone to move to France! The promised land of cheese. The only weird thing is that no matter how much I love cheese, I really dislike blue cheese and I’m not a fan of goat cheese either. Every other kind of cheese – yes, please!
3. As I told you before, I’m now in the French eating rhythm. Three meals per day – breakfast, lunch and dinner. Seems like it wouldn’t be enough, but then again the portions are proper meal size so when you eat enough for lunch, you’re full until the evening.
4. I can be impatient and as French love to take their time for almost everything, it imposes some challenges at times. I guess I should be used to this by now, but that’s unfortunately not the case…
5. A glass of ice cold rosé during a warm day is my favorite drink. French and their wine culture is something you cannot miss when in France. In Finland you can only buy and drink alcohol when you’re 18, but in France the laws regarding alcohol is very different. Less strict in many ways. Yet, here alcohol is not really a problem. Unfortunately the same cannot be said about Finland…
6. I love the frozen food chain Picard. Their foods are so delicious! I kind of hope we had a bigger freezer, just so we could buy more Picard food at once. My favorites are the Swedish meatballs. Yummy!
