1. Jouluaattona ilma oli tuulinen ja lunta satoi oikein kunnolla. Päätettiin tehdä kävelylenkki heti herättyämme, mutta tuuli oli vähän liian raaka. Itse luovutin viiden minuutin jälkeen ja hipsin takaisin sisätiloihin, heh!
2. Mä olen meidän perheen kuusi “ekspertti” ja käyn joka vuosi samalla kuusikauppiaalla. Hän kertoi mun käyneen siellä jo kuusi vuotta putkeen ja sinne suuntaan ensi vuonnakin. Häneltä saa parhaat kuuset ja kärsivällisyys riittää auttamaan tällaista kauhuasiakasta, joka käyttää aikaa löytääkseen sen “täydellisen” kuusen!
1. The weather was snowy on Christmas Eve and we even tried to take a walk by the sea, but the snow and wind was a bit too much to handle. I even put on my mom’s ancient moon boots, which kept my feet warm, but my face almost fell off due to the cold and wind!
2. I’m the Christmas tree “expert” in our family and I always go to the same Christmas tree seller. This year he told me that I have been going to him for six years now. He has the best Christmas trees in town for sure and he is the only seller who understand my obsession to find the perfect tree, heh!
3. Lähes koko elämäni me ollaan juhlittu joulua saman kokoonpanon kanssa. Siihen kuuluu äiti, isä, veljet, sekä molemmat isovanhempani. Se on se aika vuodesta kun ollaan kaikki yhdessä ja se vasta arvokasta onkin! Sen merkityksen ymmärtää paremmin oikeastaan vasta nyt kun yksi meistä puuttuu. Kolmessa edellisessä joulussa onkin ollut sellaista haikeutta mitä ei aikaisemmin ollut läsnä.
4. Aatoksi valitsin päälleni pikkumustan ja punaiset huulet. Tällä kombolla ei voi mennä vikaan!
3. For almost all my life, I’ve always spent Christmas with my family (mom, dad and two brothers) and my both grandparents. It’s a time when we all get together and I love it. It’s also a tough day in a way, because three years ago I lost my other grandfather right before Christmas. We were all very close with him and he was always there with us to celebrate the holidays. Christmas Eve is a bittersweet day in a way as he is missing.
4. I chose an all black look with a statement necklace and red lips. You can’t go wrong with red lips on Christmas!
5. Meidän joulupöydästä löytyy kaikki perinteiset suomalaiset jouluruoat (kinkku, kalata, laatikot jne.), mutta mun lempparini on jälkiruoat! Onneksi kakkuja on vielä jäljellä, sillä aijon tänään syödä niistä ne viimeisetkin palat.
6. Tykkään antaa lahjoja rakkaille ja tämä Célinen yllätys meni äidille!
5. We eat very traditional Finnish Christmas food (ham and fish mainly), but my favorites were the desserts. We had a this berry cake and then a chocolate cake and both were just crazy delicious!
6. I love giving gifts to my dear ones and this little Céline treat was for my mom. She definitely deserved it!
7. Joulupäivänä Etelä-Suomi heräsi kauniiseen auringonpaisteeseen ja kovaan pakkaseen. Harvinaisen upea ilma! Tehtiin pieni kävelylenkki ja oikeastaan kylmäkään ei tullut kun oli tarpeeksi päällä.
8. Loppupäivä tulikin sitten rentouduttua, syötyä hyvin ja katsottua leffoja. Tänään vielä voi hyvällä omallatunnolla rentoilla oikein luvan kanssa ja niin aijon tehdä!
7. On Christmas Day I woke up to -15 degrees and sunshine. Amazing (and rare) weather! To have a day filled with sun in December is quite rare and to have it on Christmas is even more bizarre. We took a walk just to soak in the sun (not that it actually warms you up, heh). I wore a lot of clothes and actually my face was the only frozen part so it wasn’t that bad!
8. Rest of the day I just chilled at home, watched movies and had dinner with my family. I love it when everything is closed and there is actually nothing else to do than relax and enjoy the time with your family. That is so priceless!

Tänäään otan siis vielä iisisti ja sitten lauantaina voisi käydä ihmisten ilmoilla. Sitten muutaman päivän päästä pitkä odotus taas palkitaan, sillä saan poikaystäväni tänne Suomeen. Toivottavasti kaikilla on ollut rauhallinen ja mieleenpainuva joulu läheisten kanssa! Kuullaan taas huomenna.
Today is the last official holiday of Christmas and I’m going to spend it sleeping long, watching movies and eating the last of our Christmas food. Then I’ll start anticipating for Monday to come, because my boyfriend is flying to Finland. I can’t wait to have my babe here!
